FG Targets 80% Nigerians on Mobile Broadband Plan

The Minister of Communications and Technology, Omobola Johnson, has said that the federal government now target accessing 80% of the nation’s population on mobile broadband plan, while fixed broadband plan would access 20% of the population by 2017.

Mrs. Johnson made the disclosure in Abuja while inaugurating a 19-member council that would help drive the execution, implementation and delivery of the plan.

Private members of the council include Messrs. Jim Ovia and Ernest Ndukwe as co-Chairmen and Ms. Funke Opeke. Others are Mr. Titi Omoetu and Mr. Junaid Dikko.
